Overview
Manipal Entrance Test (MET), also known as MAHE-OET, formerly Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET), is conducted by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (formerly Manipal University) for admission to various programs at Manipal Academy of Higher Education.

Exam Pattern
- The MET exam will be a computer-based test with a duration of two hours.
- There will be a total of 60 questions.
- Out of these, 45 questions will be objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and 15 questions will be numerical answer-type (NAT) questions.
- For MCQ questions, each correct answer will earn 4 marks, while each incorrect answer will incur a penalty of 1 mark (-1 mark).
- For NAT questions, each correct answer will earn 4 marks, with no penalty for incorrect answers.
- No marks will be awarded for unattempted questions.
- Students can register for up to 2 attempts based on test centre/slot availability, and the best score from the attempts will be considered for ranking.
- The final score will be displayed on the screen immediately after the test is completed.
- The test will be conducted in English.

Eligibility
Age Limit
- There is no age limit for appearing in the MET examination.
Performance in Qualifying Examination
- Candidates must have passed or be appearing for the HSC/12th Standard examination or its equivalent examination.
- Candidates must have studied Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects, with optional subjects including Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or any technical vocational subject.
- The technical vocational subject must be related to the Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical streams.
- Candidates must obtain a minimum of 50% marks combined in Physics, Mathematics, and any one of the optional subjects mentioned above.
Syllabus
Mock Test
- An official mock test is made available to candidates appearing for the Manipal Entrance Test.
- Candidates can take the mock test to understand the pattern of the computer-based test and familiarize themselves with the interface.
- The mock test is for practice purposes only.
Fees
MET 2025 Application Fee is ₹2000 (Application Fee of ₹600 and Entrance Fee of ₹1400).
Registration
- Registrations for MET 2025 are now open.
- The last date to register for Phase I is
March 15, 2025March 28, 2025. The registration for Phase II is expected to open in April 2025. - Candidates who have applied for Phase I can book a second attempt during Phase II by making an additional payment of Rs. 1400.

Application Procedure

- Candidate has to visit the Manipal website.
- Fill out the online application form and upload your photograph and signature.
- Pay the fees and save the application number.
Slot Booking
- Candidates are required to reserve a test center, test date, and slot for the MET examination.
- Slot booking will be done through the Manipal OTBS (Manipal Online Test Booking System).
- Slot booking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The slot booking window will open as per the schedule.

Admit Card
- Upon completion of the Test Slot booking, the Manipal Online Test Booking System will generate the e-hall ticket for download.
- The Hall Ticket will also be emailed to candidates at their registered email address within 24 hours of completing the test slot booking.
- Candidates must report any discrepancies in the e-Hall ticket to admissions@manipal.edu.
- A hard copy of the e-Hall ticket must be presented during registration at the test centre on the day of the test.

Result / Rank List
- A merit list will be prepared based on the highest percentile scores obtained in the MET examination.
- The merit list for the MET will be released as per the schedule.
Counselling
- Admission to Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, and Manipal University Jaipur will be through Manipal Counselling.
- The MET Counselling will be conducted online in multiple rounds. To participate, candidates must register and fill out their preferences for colleges and courses. Seat allocation will be based on the filled choices, merit rank, and seat availability.
